Luoghi, attività e idee per vivere la Valsesia.
Its limited size, compared to the other more extensive Valsesian valleys, has suggested to the locals to rename it “Val Pitta” meaning Little Valley.
However, the valley does not lack all those characteristics that make the Valsesian panorama spacious, spectacular, and enjoyable in every season; one could indeed say that Val Sermenza reproduces the beauties found elsewhere in Valsesia in a more confined setting.
The horizon that opens up to the visitor's eyes is also smaller, thus inviting them to discover its treasures, almost jealously hidden from the outside world, step by step, curve after curve.

Anyone arriving in this valley cannot help but notice the beauty of nature and be enchanted by the stone houses of the villages: some climb up steep ridges, like the town of Rossa, whose historic center is an eloquent reminder of high-relevance architecture.
Just beyond, after the bridge over the Cavajone, is the ancient center of Boccioleto, dominated by an audacious monolith known as "Torre delle Giavine", a true stone tower that, after repelling the conquest attempts of even the finest climbers for many years, is now of great tourist interest.
From the right bank of Rimasco opens the Val d’Egua, which leads towards the bottom of the valley where the green and bright basin of Carcoforo opens, sealing this lovely Valsesian valley.
In the center of a vast basin surrounded by firs and larches, the atmosphere is varied and lovely, and the small inhabited center presents typically Valsesian characteristics; from here paths open up for excursions of great alpine interest.
