A picturesque locality overlooking an artificial lake, Rimasco is a serene place suitable for slow tourism.
The lake, created by the confluence of the Sermenza with the Egua stream coming from the Carcoforo valley, naturally dominates the life of the village, giving it the typical appearance of resort locations and promoting the practice of sport fishing.
Among the interesting surprises encountered during a visit to Rimasco and its scattered fractional arch, one cannot pass indifferently by the ancient village of Dorca, considered one of the most magical locations in Valsesia; it stands at 1269 meters and its ancient houses stretch across a colorful plateau, telling us of a settlement of ancient origins with various testimonies still visible and well-preserved.
Another major attraction is the Fun Bob, the summer bob loved especially by families.
United since 2018, the two towns of Rima San Giuseppe and Rimasco offer interesting attractions for both slow tourists and hiking and art enthusiasts
The Sermenza Valley continues from Rimasco up to the valley's mountains, opening up in the midst of lush and green nature, ending with the ancient village of Rima San Giuseppe.
Moreover, it is also washed by the Nonay, a small tributary stream descending from the slopes of the towering Tagliaferro, the sovereign mountain of this extreme area of the territory.
The Nonay valley is the starting point for some of the most fascinating alpine hikes in Valsesia, surrounded by many of the most beautiful peaks: the Bocchetta della Moanda, the Carnera, the Mud, the Cima Lampone, the Sajunchè, the Trasinera, and of course the Tagliaferro, which, brushing against three thousand meters, reigns supreme over the alpine scenery of Rima.
Rima is also home to two important cultural sites: on one side is the Artificial Marble Museum of Rima, the artisanal mastery that has made Valsesia famous worldwide; on the other side is the Pietro Dellavedova Gypsum Museum, a collection of plaster busts of the 19th-century sculptor and student of Vincenzo Vela, who was born in Rima.
