The village of Carcoforo is nestled in an open and bright environment, surrounded by high peaks that separate it from Fobello to the east, Macugnaga to the north, and Rima to the west. The cross-country ski center offers several kilometers of tracks of varying difficulty: suitable also for beginners, they feature gentle descents and soft climbs, weaving through the area between the inhabited center and the sunny snow fields interspersed with magnificent larch trees.
There are three available rings, and they develop between 1265 and 1395 m.
The first ring (Blue Trail) has an easy difficulty and a length of 1 km; the second (Red Trail) has a medium difficulty and a length of 2 km; the third ring (Black Trail) is the most difficult and extends for 5 km among charming and majestic larch forests.
You can rent equipment on site, take a break at the refreshment point, or alternate skiing with a fun ice skating session using the rink set up near the start of the cross-country tracks.
