Set in the Rissuolo valley, in the beautiful Vogna Valley, on the normal route to Corno Bianco, the Rifugio Carestia was born in 1995 to replace the previous one that became dangerous. It is dedicated to the Riva native Antonio Carestia, a botanist and mountaineer of international fame closely linked to this valley. It has a bar-restaurant, shared services and showers, electric lighting, and 30 beds. The refuge is the ideal place for a quiet stay in an alpine environment far from stress.
