Ca'd'l'Amìs Museum

The Ca'd'l'Amìs Museum (“House of the Friend”) is housed in a rural building in the historic center of Quarona, dating back to 1334. It is a new gem in the rich cultural landscape of Valsesia, adding to its long narrative path.

The carefully restored building is organized around an internal courtyard with rooms spread over two floors. Especially atmospheric is the ‘Ca’ da füm’, the old kitchen with a hearth in the center of the floor and smoke-blackened walls.

The private collection exhibits numerous objects organized by function: from carpentry and woodworking to the cooper’s bench; from ceramics, pots, and tableware to spinning wheels and spindles, and the so-called Castéll di bigàit for raising silkworms. There are also war memorabilia, wheelbarrows, measuring instruments, and paintings of popular devotion.

The variety of items on display offers a real journey through time and into the wisdom of our ancestors.
