An authentic Walser dwelling at the gates of Pedemonte, the oldest village in Alagna, where around the year 1300, strong men from the North, the Walser, were the first to settle in these desolate high mountain lands. This house was converted into a hotel/restaurant in the early 2000s and it all started from an idea of the Alagna native Sergio Gabbio, a well-known alpine guide who gradually put his concept into practice: to host visitors, skiers, climbers, athletes, and mountain lovers in His House. His wife, Silvia Costa, manages it and their daughter Viola, besides managing reservations and reception, follows in Sergio's footsteps by taking guests on excursions through the most beautiful trails of the Alta Valsesia natural park as an environmental hiking guide. The goal of this family is therefore to provide their guests with a unique experience, of true mountain life.
