Luoghi, attività e idee per vivere la Valsesia.
At the foot of Sajunchè

Small, compact and characteristic, this village is situated at the foot of the mountains surrounding it, governed by the Sajunchè.
Its territory is quite extensive and well-positioned, with pastures and meadows, a prelude to the head of the valley from which it absorbs the crisp, pure air that makes a visit to Mollia a pleasant and satisfying moment of Valsesia discovery.
Picturesque clusters of typical houses scattered around the center; places showcasing an alpine housing brand where the characteristics of the Walser culture stand out. Goreto, Grampa, Molino, Piana Fontana, and further Piana Viana, Piana Toni, Casa Capietto. In each of these small fractions, the ancient Valsesian style marked by the Walser’s alpine civilization is evident.

The church is dedicated to San Giovanni Battista and houses a beautiful wooden altar, frescoes by Antonio Orgiazzi the Elder, large canvases by the painter Gianoli from nearby Campertogno, and exquisite wooden furniture and furnishings; unmissable is the Stations of the Cross painted by Peracino on the walls of the colonnade delimiting the old cemetery.
The oratories and small churches of Mollia are a treasure of art and faith with excellent frescoes in good condition.
The theater, dating back to the 1800s, is also worth a visit today.
The ecomuseum of the location includes among its curiosities the ancient Mulino Fucina of Piana Fontana, which careful restorations have allowed to admire its peculiarities and its important function exploited in the past.
