The Tokji Village at Pianalunga

A mischievous elf named Tokji roams Pianalunga, ready to make objects disappear wherever he goes. 

He climbed up from Alagna to create his play village, complete with swings, slides, and small rope walls. 

Along the Giro-Tondo with Tokji, a 1.5 km route walkable on foot or by MTB, you can discover Tokji's world and his animal friends, with many curiosities about the flora and fauna of his home: Monte Rosa. 

Along the route you'll also find the tubing, a slide to try with inflatable rings. To complete the adventure, you can stop to taste mountain dishes at Alpe Seewji. 

The Tokji Village is set up during the summer season. 

The Angelo Mosso Scientific Institute at Col d'Olen

One of the highlights of Italian scientific history is now an exhibition area where, thanks to an interactive route, you can discover how scientific research was conducted and learn about the Monte Rosa environment, its glaciers, flora, and geomorphology. 

EXPERIENCES IN ALAGNA

Excursion to Rifugio Pastore

The classic family hiking destination: the Rifugio Pastore is a route suitable for everyone, leading in a short time to one of the most beautiful views of Monte Rosa. 

An "unmissable" stop along the way is the Visitor Center at Alpe Fum Bitz: the "park house" of the Alta Valsesia Nature Park, the highest protected area in Europe.

The center is open in summer or by reservation during other periods.

Once at the Alpe Pile plateau, it's time to have fun: picnics or a break at the refuge and plenty of space to play. Children are especially fascinated by the Marmitte dei Giganti, signs of the glaciers' passage. 

Kreas Mining Park - The San Lorenzo Factory

An immersive journey into the mining history of Kreas: the whole family can marvel at the still-operating millstones here and learn more about Alagna’s past through interactive experiences.

Walser Museums

In a perfectly preserved Walser chalet in the hamlet of Pedemonte, you can discover how this population, which settled our valleys, once lived. Objects and rooms fascinate both young and old. 

Another Walser museum is located in the Vogna Valley, reachable after a pleasant and easy walk.
