The panoramic chairlift

Ascending on the Rimasco–Pian della Ratta double chairlift, you can admire breathtaking views: conifer forests and blooming rhododendrons, the Egua stream, and impressive glimpses of the Monte Rosa massif. The facility is accessible to everyone, including children, who must be accompanied by an adult if under 125 cm tall. Small pets (max. 10 kg) are also welcome, provided they have a muzzle and leash.

Fun Bob: adrenaline on rails

The toboggans, for one person and equipped with seat belts, let you control your speed with a central lever, ensuring an exciting yet safe experience for adults and children. There are no age limits to ride the Fun Bob, but children under 8 years old or shorter than 125 cm must be accompanied by an adult. For children under the age of one, a baby carrier is required (not provided by staff).

Other activities at Alpe Campo di Rimasco



At the top of the chairlift, at Pian della Ratta, the Alpe Campo Refuge welcomes visitors with a bar and restaurant service, allowing you to taste local specialties in a comfortable, family atmosphere. The facility also offers a campsite/glamping area equipped with mountain tents and two exclusive StarsBOXes for a truly immersive experience in the pristine nature of the alpine pasture.

In the restaurant, you can book cooking classes with Alice, the manager and chef of the refuge, to discover and appreciate some of the culinary specialties that Valsesia has to offer.

Outside the refuge, picnic areas with tables and benches are set up in the woods, while the panoramic terrace offers privileged mountain views and a relaxing solarium.

Finally, a small but welcoming playground at altitude is available to all children staying at the facility!

For hiking lovers, don’t forget that Pian della Ratta can also be reached on foot via CAI trail no. 370, starting at Località Sponda Lago, no. 1 in Rimasco. The refuge can be reached in about 45 minutes, and from there you can continue climbing for about another hour to reach Alpe Teste and Alpe Campo.

From the mountain top, there are breathtaking views over the Fervento Valley, and on clear days you can spot the majestic Monte Rosa.
