Luoghi, attività e idee per vivere la Valsesia.
It is here that the sweet Novara Hills begin, with their peculiar microclimate influenced by the peaks to the north and a morainic terrain, originating from the Monte Rosa that dominates the entire area.
As a result, the vine "raised" here gives the wine an unrepeatable flavor, of which the various DOC and DOCG are a testament. But this part of Alto Piemonte is animated not only by wine production but by a number of villages rich in history and art closely linked to the agricultural world and popular devotion, which reaches its peak in the Good Friday of Romagnano Sesia. The Ethnographic Museum of Bassa Valsesia is the ambassador of this culture.
Arriving from the plain, it is curious to notice how, chasing the Monte Rosa, the landscape gently rises, offering new views to the observer.
If the Sesia defines the hilly territory to the west, it is the Monte Fenera that marks the natural boundary of the Novara Hills to the north. Here, at its foothills, lies the impressive Santuario di Boca, one of the Antonellian treasures that can be discovered right on these hills.
More than by car, it is on foot and by bicycle that one appreciates the Wine Hills with their historic centers, rows of vines, and, among these, scattered votive chapels: stunning views are guaranteed.
And, as you walk, you can rise to the first heights towards the Fenera, where other places with an almost ancestral charm await.
