Long panoramic route, quite challenging, from the Alpe Trogo parking lot to the "Al Boschetto" refreshment point, through the forests of the east side of Alpe di Mera. Itinerary in nature and silence, completely outside the skiable area. Return to the parking lot along the fuchsia and then yellow itineraries.

Once parked at the Alpe Trogo, take the service road at the last bend (where the wooden hut is). This is the road that leads to Alpe di Mera in summer, but it remains snow-covered in winter and can be traversed with snowmobiles.
Continue along the road until the third bend, where there is an information panel, and take the forest path to the left. From here proceed to the Bocchetta Boscarola, a crossing point between Valsesia and Valsessera, in the Biella region.
From here follow the green sign and CAI indications for the parking lot of the Alpe di Mera chairlift (path 233B).
Follow the path in the dense beech forest until you reach the green bifurcation sign between the snowshoe path that continues upward in the woods and the CAI path that continues towards the chairlift parking lot. To proceed, turn left, climbing back into the now sparser woods, zigzagging and gradually bending left until reaching the crest trail (F24). From here opens a beautiful landscape towards Val Sesserra, Bielmonte, and Cima Mora. Since there is no base trail, the track in the woods may vary over time and not correspond to that on the map.
Use the signs affixed to the trees as a reference for direction.
Continue for a short stretch on the crest and then turn right, snowshoeing at the edge between the woods and the snow-covered slope until reaching halfway up the slope the refreshment point on the ski slopes "Al Boschetto".
Be careful when crossing the ski slope, necessary to reach the refreshment point.
The return can be made using the fuchsia snowshoe path, choosing the stretch in the woods; immediately below the refreshment point, or the stretch along the Boschetto (M7) ski slope towards the Mera-Scopello chairlift.
Once you reach the town of Mera, continue towards Alpe Trogo with the yellow snowshoe path. Again, you can choose between the western stretch, which you enter by going towards the Camparient chairlift along the Camparient basso (M1b) slope or the eastern stretch, which you enter below the Campo Scuola, continuing towards the service road on the right.
The marked winter paths are considered accessible, but they develop in unmanaged mountain areas. For this reason, it is mandatory to approach these trails using avalanche self-rescue kit artva, shovel, and probe while checking weather and avalanche bulletins.
For more information on how to carry out your activity safely, consult the dedicated page.
It is also important to remember that it is necessary to cross the ski slopes only at the designated points and it is absolutely forbidden to go up the ski slopes.
Thanks to Alpe di Mera for the texts. The route trace is available on the Outdooractive profile of Alpe di Mera.
