Luoghi, attività e idee per vivere la Valsesia.
The small Balma
Balmuccia, whose name would mean “small balma”, which means a crack in the mountain, is a typical location totally built against deep mountain fissures and it is precisely this characteristic that makes it very particular and evocative.
The “split” mountains on whose bottom the village lies are the peaks of the Denti del Gavala and the ridges of the Dinelli, past which one enters the upper part of the valley.
Different panoramic points, therefore, open only towards the Val Sermenza, also known as Val Piccola, of which the houses of Rossa can be recognized from the village center.
The inhabited nucleus has preserved over the centuries its original appearance with typical architecture, harmonious slate roofs, care and preservation of the ancient; many houses show the lines of good Valsesian architecture, giving the village an elegant tone.
